France helps Fiji

“The French Government displays international leadership by swiftly helping and engaging with their Fijian counterparts in the rebuilding of Fiji after the recent devastating flood,” said Alton Shameem the president of Fiji Club New Zealand (FCNZ).

“Our fellow Fijians are indeed delighted and heartened to see the French military aircraft assessing the colossal damage inflicted in the western division of Viti Levu the largest island of Fiji.

Fijians, our fellow New Zealanders and cousins the Australians are indeed wondering when their close neighbors New Zealand and Australians governments will show leadership and help our Fijian brothers and sisters in their time of great need. Their silence is indeed deafening.

“This destructive flood was more lethal than the one our fellow Fijians endured and suffered in 2009. They lost their precious homes, farms, stock, livelihood, and their businesses,” Alton Shameem said.

“The flood damage is estimated to be over F$30 million dollars and the Fijian government did declare a state of emergency to help in search and rescue.

“Please donate generously to Red Cross in Fiji and New Zealand www.redcross.com.fj, www.redcross.org.nz respectively or to your favorite charities and state that it is for 2012 Fiji Western Division flood relief assistance,

“We sincerely thank the French Government and the good people of France for their humanitarian gesture, goodwill, leadership and all valuable assistance in helping our fellow Fijians to get back on their feet again”, said Alton Shameem.

ENDS.

I need help in translating
Bonjour, My name is Benjamin Vukivou. In the beginning of 2012 I am going to start an inbound tour for french speakers. The name of my company is "FRANCOPHONE FIJI TOUR" I learn French in Brussels and seriously thinking of starting my business as a French tour Operator and Tour guide.
I am working as a special Inspector in Fiji Police Police Force (Special Inspector in the Fiji Police Force in Fiji) can work else where.

This year, 2011, I have taken 5 French tours for Rosie Tour in Nadi and 1 for Exclusively Fiji also based in Nadi. I realized that I can do the job on my own with just a little assistance from the embassy.

I learnt French language in 1998 - 2002. Came to Fiji and went to the USA. Came back to Fiji in 2008. So I did not speak the language for at least, 6 years. But now I am bouncing back with French language and I am sure, I will be very fluent if I speak French with my clients everyday with my tour.

Right now, I have approached ATS (Air Terminal Service) Fiji and they have asked me if I can also do announcing in French during the arrival of the AIR CALEDONIA every Saturday and Monday.

I have prepared my script in English and I need it to be translated to French please.

I am sure some one out there can help me. I am trying to help myself help the French Tourists coming to Fiji that find English a problem.

I want to start this project in the beginning of 2012 which is the next few weeks.

My e mail address is frenchguidefdj@gmail.com and my telephone number is 874 2763, please if you can translate document, it is just a three pages greeting and a 2 page broucher..

Please help me help the francophone tourists wanting to visit Fiji and finding language a barrier.

Merci

Benjamin
