Hi,
I am a Filipina working in Singapore and am now about to marry a French national in two weeks time (we have everything set including ROM appointment). However I wanna ask if our wedding would be recognized in France. If so, how do we get our marriage recognized by the French authorities/law?
Thanks!

I AM SPONSORING A FRIEND IN MANILA TO APPLY VISA FOR SCHENGEN. WE ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A FESTIVAL, WHICH MEANS EVERYTHING IS FREE, EXCEPT OUR FLIGHT. I HAVE SUBMITTED ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND ALSO MY FRIEND. INSPITE OF ALL THE DOCUMENTS WE SUBMITTED, THE VISA OF MY FRIEND IS REJECTED BECAUSE HIS RETURN TO MANILA IS NOT SURE. WHAT ELSE SHOULD HE SUBMIT IN ORDER TO PROOF THAT HE WILL RETURN TO MANILA BECAUSE OF HIS BUSINESS AND FAMILY? THANK YOU
I sent a parcel by registered mail to my daughter who is a student in Paris
When she received it, the parcel had been tampered with and an item in the parcel was stolen
Apparently, this is a common occurence
This dishonesty really mars the image of such a beautiful city like Paris
I am an Australian now married to a French citizen. After living in Singapore for 5 years we married in 2009. We recently moved to Vienna, Austria for work purposes only to discover that Austrian government would not recognize the authenticity of our Singaporean wedding certificate and thus I was unable to remain in Vienna beyond the normal tourist period of 90 days. After much drama and stress we managed to have the Austrian Embassy in Singapore provide the appropriate authentication of the certificate and, as the no-EU spouse, I was granted an Austrian residency permit. I have been told that the same issue will apply for the French government. How do I apply to have our wedding recognized by the French government? I will be travelling to Singapore in 2 weeks from now, can I present my wife's French passport and our wedding certificate for an authentication stamp?

My two Diploma in Tourism & Resort Management students are scheduled to undergo 6-month internship in France, arranged by the University of Burgundy.
The students went down to the Embassy twice to apply for visas. The first time, they were turned away as they did not have the original internship contract. The second time (21 Sept. 2011) when they presented original documents, the Embassy informed them that the stamp was the wrong one. They were told to leave the documents there and to check daily on-line to see if the documents would be approved. To date (almost 2 weeks have lapsed), there is still no progress.
Why is it so difficult to obtain a student visa?
The students are frustrated and depressed over this delay.
Please assist asap.
Thank you.
I did volunteer work at Nalanda Monastery in Lavaur, near Toulouse in 2008. They require me to return as we volunteers work without salary and it's not easy to find people willing to work long-term.
Please advice me how i can go about obtaining this visa as i would like to commence volunteering at the earliest possible date.
Thanks and regards

Please can you advise the correct phone number for the tourism office in Singapore? I have tried 67333307 and 63260784 but both numbers are not working. thank you
