Sir my dad died to 1981 that time 4 yes may be u don't giving a reply my words sir my father Indian born in Orissa.my mother born in mahe 1944 DEC 12 they married 1964 Jan 10 I send papers last march 2014 now past away one year sir what can I do sir tell me please please we had nationality?any possible to get it?please kindly reply me I'm waiting for reply.thankyou sir.

If you prove that your father's grand father was born in French India, your father may be a french citizen.
Even then, according to Mr Maisonneuve, Director of Affaires civiles and Sceau (office of the nationality, your father has to adduce evidence about his possession d'etat de francais (Ref.article 30-2 of Code civil). Yours sincerely

Sir, my father and mother born in the year of 1959 at pondicherry. but my grandparents dont have the french nationality. but one told us we can get the nationality people born in the year of 1959 in pondicherry may possible to get the nationality, can my father get the french nationality if he tries?

Thank sir giving a reply my father born in Orissa.but he was died to 1981 that time my big bro born 1965 ,I had 4 brothers I'm a last my birth 1977 . we r very poor I don't knw English but manage to wright about my problem to you I scared about French nationality when come to reply I decently I will come to your office sir please kindly help me sir.

Your mother born in Mahe in 1944 was a minor on 16.08.1962 date of transfer de jure of French India into Indian Union.She could not make option to conserve french nationality,I think you are aware of the effects of the franco indian treaty 1956 on your mother and her father, If your mother's father was a french citizens born also in Fr. India, he had to make option in writing to conserve the french nationality for him and for his mioor daughter ie, mother. If he was born in British India he was exempted to make option. my father is an indian nationality born in pondicherry. my father elder brother living in france as french nationality. i know he got nationality by using our fathers and mothers papers only. but my father elder brother can't give any paper to me for get nationality. so, can I have the rights to apply here for my French nationality.is it possible. kindly reply me sir,

And then, how to know the reasons of french nationality given by the Greffier en chef or Judge in their french nationality certificates.
