Sir,This not the forum to study french law on nationality, In general terms, immatriculation francaise means registration by a person that he is french, by producing his certificate of french nationality issued by a competent authority (Greffier en chef) or judicial magistrate (juge d'instane, or jugment of a french court/appellate court ie, tribunal de grande instance, Courd'appel, Cour de cassation. Yours sincerely.
Sir, According to your information available, your father was born in 1934 in British India and married in 1958 in Tamil Nadu and died on l.l. 2014. Your mother was born in 1942 in Pondicherry. It is not possible to give a correct opinion without examining all relevant papers and the situation of your parents with regard to the Franco Indian treaty of 1956 which came into force on 16.08.1962. If Your father was Indian and your mother a French, your father could not acquire his wife's nationality . Only a foreign lady to French India by marrying a french citizen of French India prior to 16.08. 1962 could acquire french nationality of her husband. This acquisition of french nationality is not possible for such marriage in some periods prior to 1945. If you go through the questions and answers of other persons available in this site, you can easily understand your case, For more information, my mobile No. 9843648646, Yours sincerely,
