Ordinarily it will take 18 months to get communication of CNF file number, After a further period of 6 months the decision will be communicated. But my mom didn't apply for nationality .in last decmber I have applied for French nationality for my mom but seven months over but still no reply . If you want to go to France as a tourist with Indian passport, you have to apply for french visa by submitting necessary papers to the french visa processing centre at Chennai or Pondicherry, according to your place of residence.
