Sir,
After communication of dossier number, the decision will be taken within six months. In your case, by adding the vacation period of 2 months, it will make eight months, If the documents you have sent at their request are not regular, it will take more time. Yours sincerely,
vanakam,
my doubt now is not about second wife that is my grand mum.
but whether second wife kids that is "my dad and dad's legal heirs" is accepted as per french law sir now?
sir, An error has crept in the last before 4th and 5th lines. Please read as illegitimate son instead of daughter, Your sincrely,
Sir,
To my knowledge, one year time is taken by the Geffier en chef to communicate the number of your dossier, From that date you will have to wait for a further period of six months to receive the decision of refusal or the CNF through the CGF at POndicherry. Prima facie, cases devoid of merit or right are decided and communicated quickly. In your case, if you have enclosed with your application the documents you have submitted eight months ago, you could have avoided the first delay of 17 months, Your documents are liable to local verification through the CGF at Pondicherry. If the verification is about documents of Tamil Nadu or other Indian States, it is done through correspondance at ministry level,The fact that your mother got french nationality certificate is not sufficient to decide
quickly your application . You have to prove that you are her legitimate daughter. If you are born prior to her marriage you will be an illegitimate daughter and in such case your birth should have been acknowledged before you attained majority (competion of 18 years age). If you were born before 16.9.1062 and your father was alive at that time, you cannot claim french nationality through your mother, I hope that you will understand the reason for delay, Yours sincerely,
Madam,
Your question about legality of two wives for a grand dad and about french nationality for his descendants is complicated and requires study of all relevant documents and discussion at the table of a french lawyer. Yours sincerely,
Madam,
Before l962 the events of birth, marriages and death of the citizens of french India were registered in one office called etat civil of the Municipality. These events are recorded in the respective register which is kept in double for Hindus, muslims and christians, one in the mairie (etat civil)and the other in the court secretariat. Regarding renoncants who renounced their personal law and wished to be governed by french code civil, the said registers are kept in triplicate, two of them as mentioned above and the third was sent to the central servbice of etat civil. It is possible for the renoncants to apply and get certified copies from the register kept at Nantes. Under Article 15 of the Franco Indian treaty of cession of the french settlements into Indian Union, which was signed on 28.05.1956 and came into force on 16.09.1962 it is stipulated as follows. "The registers of etat civil existing on the date of cession shall be conserved according to the regulation in force on this date and the copies or extracts be delivered at the request of the persons cncerned or competent authorities." Yours sincerely,
vanakam,
