sir,
my grand parents born,married and died in pondicherry during 1880. i have for my grand parents birth,marriage and death certificates from pondicherry mmunicipality.
my father was born in nepal during 1910 having kathmandu municipality certificate.
myself born in andra pradesh not in pondicherry state{near yanam} during 1940.
i have only my grand parents records in pondicherry after that my dad and me were born in diffrent places.
except my grand parents definatly either my dad birth,marriage were not entered side by side in pondicherry municipality.
my dad is no more
with thease above status now i am elegible to apply for french nationality sir.

Sir,
You can try, But the registrar(greffier en chef) in charge of french nationality department, Paris, will refuse, for the reason that your father's nativity (french origin) is not proved in the absence of your grand father4s birth certificate, You may request him in the absence of the said document and on seeing the non availability certificate adn other subseqent official documents (his marriage certificate), serice certificates or other title deeds about his property whcih mention his place of birth,
Otherwise, you can straightaway file a suit before the competent court, in Paris, For this you have engage a french lawyer practising before french court in France, He/she will tax about 2 1/2 lakhs rupees plus case fling charges and amin's fees. Yours sicnerely

i want the birth certificate of my grand father who had born in the pondicherry at 1879.i asked in the municipality.they said the page is damagedand not available here and also in the court it is damaged. N.O.C or the damaged certificcate can be valued in the service of the nationalite in france??? shall i send the N.o.c ? with the pondicherry chief secretary seal and the appostille seal of the nungampakkam,chennai..it may be valid or not???and can be accepted or not??

You state that your grand parents were from Pondicherry. It is not clear, Please mention their place and date of birth, Plase specify also whether they were your maternal or paternal grandparents, Yours sincerely

Madam,
Your were born in Pondicherry in 1937. If your father born in Pondicherry was french, you should have made as major person the declaration of option to conserve the french nationality within 6 moths from 16.08.1962, date of dejure merger of French India into Indian Union, If not, you will become Indian, Your mother born in Tamil Nadu in 1903, if she is alive, she can claim french nationality thro' her parents born in Pondicherry and also by way of her masrriage with your father born in Pondichery, , Yours sincerely
