I am Bob Evans and I work in Mexico City. I am British and in a few weeks my Chinese wife who is with me in Mexico requires a visa to enter France. I will be with her. My wife has a 10 year visa for the UK and also a 10 year visa for the USA. What do I have to do to get a visa for my with within 4 weeks?

I am an American retiree living in Mexico City but I'm considering living in Paris for six months. I'm not sure if I would travel to France from Mexico or from the US. Would a Visa from the French Embassy here in Mexico be valid either way? If I plan to leave at the beginning of 2014 how long does it take to receive a Visa? Thank You.
