appreciate
"To: The excellency of French consulate general in Erbil"
Salutes be upon you for you stance, observation and support message.
We us the spontaneous protestors, on behalf of all people appreciate your humanitarian move and support of freedom.
Your speech at the ceremony of "French Revolution" in Erbil is very welcome among people and it... echoed widely everywhere, it was the manifesto of kurdish youth anger against corruption and nepotism of Kurdish Authorities.
As your eminence knows, at the very first day of protests we peacefully called for our legitimate rights and eradication of murky corruption with Kurdistan is drown in. we have called for imposition of "Rule of law", and power of democracy.
Sadly kurdish authorities seemingly does not know what is "civil struggle" thus instead of proper response they used live ammunition against protestors and as result 10 protestors killed, 300 injured. following that sad events, they harshly cracked down protests using military force. Even after militarizing the cities and dispersing protests, yet abduction and attacks on civil society activist are going on.
We, as the youth generation of this homeland, accentuate once more again that end of the current day situation is kurdistan is though peaceful process, not as the authorities do!

Interesting development today which again shows us who are the victims and what can happen to them if they try to act. The victims are always young and innocent people who are quick to take actions but all parties turn their backs on them. As a result, they get beaten, arrested, humiliated and dehumanised. They in turn become more angry and perhaps more 'violent'. Peace is the answer, no to violence.
All over again. we Congratulate the french revolution anniversary and hopefully looking forward to you further observation of demonstration and it is possible to send your representative it would be even more welcomed.

THE STORY NOT TRUE
THE UNIVERSITIES IN KURDISTAN ACCEPT ALL STUDENTS WHO STUDIED IN KURDISH, ARABIC AND ENGLISH SIMPLY BECAUSE THE SCHOOLS IN THE REGION ARE MOSTLY IN KURDISH BUT THERE IS ARABIC AND ENGLISH SCHOOLS. AND THE STUDY IN MOST UNIVERSITY COLLEGES IS EITHER IN ARABIC OR ENGLISH. SO IT IS A BIG LIE TO SAY I AM NOT ACCEPTED BECAUSE I AM NOT STUDIES IN KURDISH BUT MIGHT BE YOUR DEGREES NOT ACCEPTED IN THE COLLEGES YOU LIKED...

To Whom it May Concern:
My name is Rami Nazar Osman. I am an Assyrian Christian and an Iraqi citizen living in the Erbil suburb of Ankawa in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq. I am 19 years old, and live with my parents and three siblings. I was born in Baghdad, and moved to Ankawa in 2006 with my family to escape the violence in Baghdad. We were pushed out of our property by bad guys , who took our car, and furniture.

Over a short period in 2006, three of my friends and neighbors were killed and I was injured when our church exploded and I saw pieces of human flesh in front my eyes and I lay two months in the bed I couldn’t Talk ,Think I was in shock So I just staid in my room . My family decided in one day’s time to leave everything behind and flee to safety. We left at 4:30 am with only the clothes on our backs to avoid detection. We took a taxi to the airport because taxis are safer than private cars. Within one hour we were in Erbil. My father took a taxi to a real estate agent, where he rented a house and we moved in immediately with no furniture or belongings. We joined thousands of other displaced Christians who were fleeing Baghdad, Mosul and other dangerous areas.

I was 17 when I left Baghdad. I had just finished high school, and was ready to go to college. I received high marks in high school on average in spite of the bad situation: Math 100%, Physics 95%, Chemistry 93%, English 80%, Arabic 80%, Biology 69%. I could’nt go anywhere but home and school because there was a great deal of kidnapping going on at the time. I couldn’t participate in sports of any kind, or go to the shops or out to eat with my friends. We lived for five years like this, from the time the Americans arrived in Baghdad in 2003. If I had stayed in Baghdad, I would not have been able to attend university due to the security problem.

When I moved to Ankawa, I was not allowed to attend University in the Kurdistan Region simply because I had not graduated from a Kurdish secondary high school. I had few options. There were no private universities in the Kurdistan Region at the time. So for the first two years in Ankawa I spent my time attending English in the evenings at the Kingery English School and the afternoons at the sports club. Finally I found out about warsaw University in Poland and they accepted me , and moved there to study Medicine and I passed in the credit (Test) of the first chapter , but I could’nt stay because I didn’t have enough money . So After one month I returned to Ankawa very disappointed.

This past year, several private universities opened in Erbil. I enrolled in Hewler University in the Dentistry program because they don’t have medicine program and because the tuitions paid by installments way .One month later, the university was closed by the Ministry of Higher Education, along with other private universities and programs in the city. Again I was back to square one.

I am looking in Europe for affordable options to study because the people there, they care about person more than here because I suffered in my childhood and I still suffering Because we are emigrants now . And no one want to help us. Even my family can’t help me because the life is so hard in Iraq especially for us Christian people.

Meanwhile, I am searching for scholarships to help me to cover the costs of the university . because I really want to be a doctor and no one help me I asked for help but no one care So please If you have the ability to help me please don’t hesitative .

I am very depressive and perplexed about my options, but am reaching out to you for scholarship assistance in the hopes that some help will be available to set me on a course to complete my university education. Please consider my request carefully. I would be very grateful for your assistance.
