namaste,would like to know for how much time i can get tourist visa from bangkok to india.am swiss.thank you so much for answering me.as many of my friends have told me it is now 6 months without having to leave india in between.

Hi Anne,
My answer is probably too late to help you, but it could help other fellow Canadians. I got the visa for India (six months, double entry) in Bangkok for about 72 $ CAD (paid cash, 2230 bahts). You have to go to the India Passport & Visa Services Centre (not to the Indian embassy) with all the mandatory documents. It took a week to get the visa issued. Closely follow the instructions on the Centre's website and it should be fine. The website is http://www.ivac-th.com/
