I am a Fiji Passport holder and a NZ resident. My pp expires on 30/1/2014. I am in a dire situation wherein my mother taking her last breadth. Don't know when she expires. I need to travel to USA. What is the fastest and quickest means to get one and whether I am required to submit my old passport.

I had the same issue. My passport was faulty. Had a digit missing so could not be scanned. I had to get it renewed just after few months and I was told to pay the renewal fee !!! Which I did because I had no choice.
My current passport has a peeling in one corner. im a permanent resident of nz. Im having issues when traveling now. The customs team in nz have confirmed that this passport is faulty and they need to fix this. They have seen a couple of issues smiliar to this regarding Fiji passport. Do I need to get this repaired or replaced. Also do I need to pay for this? if so why? because this was a faulty passport from the beginning.

can my fiji passport be renewed now as it expires in oct 2014. this is because I need to apply for a student visa which will be valid 4 an year.
Does the New passport has the same number as the old passport?????
