Dear President,
I appeal to take action to stop the execution of Behram Khan, to establish a moratorium on executions with a view to abolition and to commute all death sentences.
Behram Khan is scheduled to be executed on June 30, 2012. This would be the first execution in Pakistan in nearly four years and the first under his rule. The execution of Behram Khan reverse hard-fought progress made in Pakistan and possibly open the door to more executions. Only you can as president to end this run.
I want to express my deep opposition to the death penalty in all cases without exception, as being contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and be the extreme form of a cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.
Since 2007, the UN General Assembly resolutions adopted by large majorities calling for the establishment of a moratorium on the use of the death penalty with a view to abolishing the death penalty.
So I want to reiterate my appeal to halt the execution of Behram Khan, to establish a moratorium on executions and commute all death sentences.

Por favor detenga de inmediato la ejecución de Behram Khan.

Para Amnistía Internacional la pena capital es la forma más
extrema de pena cruel, inhumana y degradante, y una violación del derecho a la vida;

Solicito al gobierno de Pakistán que establezca la suspensión oficial de todas las ejecuciones en
el país, incluida la de Behram Kahn, como primer paso hacia la abolición de la pena capital, de acuerdo
con la tendencia global en auge y con las resoluciones de la Asamblea General de la ONU 62/149 (2007),
63/168 (2008) y 65/206 (2010);

Así mismo, solicito a Pakistán que conmute todas las penas de muerte existentes.
