Dear Franco Ochea,
I acknowledge the receipt of your email and the link that you sent to me.
I know that you have the passion and zeal to work for this company(NAOC).This Job Offer is not a Hoax but 100% legitimate and it is unfortunate that you questioning the Integrity of NAOC.
As a matter of fact, Nigeria Agip Oil Company is aware that some fraudsters are using the name of company to perpetuate fraud.
Their mode of operation of these fraudsters is to ask their unsuspecting victims to send them money via these instant money transfer medium like Western Union Money Transfer, Money Gram Transfer etc. These Scam artists use these instant money transfer medium because they know that they can pick up the funds without any trace.
These Scam Artists do not use Bank transfer because before you can open a domiciliary account (Dollar Account) in Nigeria, all the information you provided in the account opening form will be verified manually by the bank and security agents before the account will become valid.
These scam artists knew that if they use Bank Transfer for their operations, they will be caught, prosecuted and jailed. That is the reason why they use these Instant Money Transfer Medium like Western Union, Money Gram etc for their mode of operation as they knew that they can pick up fund without any trace.
Any person or organization in Nigeria that ask you to send money to him via these instant money Transfer Medium like Western Union, Money Gram etc is a fraud. Responsible people and organization in Nigeria use Bank to Bank Transfer for their operation as they have no skeleton in their cupboard.
Fortress Insurance Company is a responsible Organization. This Insurance Company is above board and has been the one handling the Expatriate Medical Insurance Policy Coverage of our Expatriate Employees for the past seven years.
Fortress Insurance Company is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The address of the Commission is Plot 420, Tigris Crescent, Off Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja. You can check that out for yourself.
It is in your best interest to purchase the Expatriate Medical Insurance Policy so that your EMIP Certificate will be obtained and the company will go ahead to secure your Expatriate Quota Approval Papers.
You will be here resuming duty by the end of next month with NAOC if you will be able to purchase the EMIP certificate so that the company will secure your Expatriate Quota Approval Papers and forward it to the Nigeria Embassy in your location for the issuance of the STR Visa which will not take more than five working days.
And if you fail to purchase the EMIP Certificate soon the company will go ahead to exercise the other option by employing another person in the position that was offered to you. It has happened to many new Expatriate Employees offered employment by the company but refused to Purchase the EMIP certificate. And at last when they have found out the fact and started contacting the company to purchase the EMIP certificate. It is late as another person has been employed in the position that was offered to them.
Do not miss this golden opportunity to work for the NAOC as a lot of people in the oil and gas community are wishing to be a part of this organization.
Regards,
Chris Oboh

Dear Sir,

I acknowledge the receipt of your email.

The 28/28 Rotation is that you will work for 28 days and the next 28 days you will be off on leave.

There are two stages involved in the procedure for the Application of S.T.R VISA for expatriates coming into Nigeria to take up employment.

1. Application for subject to regulation visa (STR VISA)
2. Regularization of stay.

Once your Expatriate Quota Approval Letter has been secured from the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) it will be forwarded to the NIGERIAN EMBASSY in your location who will invite you for the issuance of the S.T.R VISA. The regularization of stay is done here in Nigeria on your arrival.

Firstly before the company proceeds with the application to the Nigeria Embassy in your location for the S.T.R VISA, the company has to first of all secure your Expatriate Quota Approval papers from the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) in Nigeria.

You are to send me the following required documents so that the company can make an application to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) for the approval of your Expatriate Quota which is a pre-requisite for STR Visa.

1. Letter of acceptance of Job offer (Signed Offer Letter Received)
2. A copy of the photo page of your international passport
3. Expatriate Medical insurance policy certificate (EMIP) (This is only obtainable from Insurance companies in Nigeria)

As soon as the company receives the required documents from you, the company will apply to the Nigeria Immigration Service for your Expatriate Quota Approval papers which will be forwarded to the Nigerian Embassy in your location. The Nigeria Embassy in your Location will invite you for a brief interview and issue the STR Visa.

Expatriates coming into Nigeria to take up employment must secure a comprehensive Medical Expatriate Insurance Policy Coverage for the duration of their contract. This is line with the Nigeria Expatriate Employment statutory law. The company cannot secure your Expatriate Quota Approval Papers without submitting your Medical Expatriate Insurance Policy Coverage certificate with your Letter of Acceptance of Job Offer and copy of the photo page of your international passport to the Office of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

In the past the company paid for the procurement of the Medical Expatriate Insurance Policy coverage for its new Expatriate Employees. But a new policy came into effects last three years. This policy comes into effect because of the experiences the company had in the past where some Expatriates offered employment by the company end up not going for the issuance of STR Visa after the company have already purchase their Expatriate Medical Insurance Policy Coverage and secure their Expatriate Quota Approval Papers. This affects the company’s Expatriate Quota with the Nigeria Immigration Service.
This is due to the fact that any Expatriate Quota Papers secured on behalf of a new Expatriate employee by NAOC from the Nigeria Immigration Service cannot be revised whether the Expatriate employee comes over to Nigeria or not to resume duty. The problem is not about the fund that the company spends in the purchase the Expatriate Medical Insurance Policy Coverage. The problem is that it depletes the company’s Expatriate Quota number with the Nigeria Immigration Service anytime a new Expatriate employee who Expatriate Quota Approval has been secured fails to come over here to resume duty. This is the reason why the company came out with the new policy on the employment of Expatriates.

The company new policy on Expatriate Employment is that new Expatriate Employees must pay to procure the Medical Expatriate Insurance Policy Coverage to show commitment that they are really ready to come over here to assume duty. And all the expenses the new Expatriate Employee incur in the procurement of the Medical Insurance will be reimbursed back to the new Expatriate Employee by the company. That was the reason Clause 5. Reimbursement has been being included in the company's Offer Letter for Expatriate Employees for the past three years.

Chris Oboh
