My mom passed away 2 years ago in the US, I need to get death certificate. I read the instruction on how to obtain death certificate on your site. It says six months while the DC consulate says 6 weeks. Which one is it?

I do live in Fresno, CA and my family is joining me soon from Egypt. My children are studying at Al-Azhar, third grade, first grade, and KG. I was told they can take exams here in LA according to the Azhar exams of Egypt. How can i apply for them for that? What are the documents needed so that they may get with them? How much does it cost? How should i start. thank you
