I WANT TO STUDY IN EGYPT FROM BANGLADESH.WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Sir,
At first my salaam, Assalamo alaikom. This book contains 3 hundred pages as translation. If it highlights on Mahmud Darwish's life and poetries but it contents Palestinian matters, the struggle for freedom and lost land. It carries so many pictures of the poets and the translators (including Yaser Arafat and Mahmud Abbas).
I think, by reading Mahmud Darwish our peoples scop to think Palestinian reality, and sympathize for them. Whereas they always witnessing on television and read in the Newspapers insurrection of Palestinians (occupied territories) on the West Bank and in Gaza. However, this coverage will helpful understanding sufferings of the peoples (including women and children's). For 64 years Human rights have been flouted and why Palestinian children are now being brought up to learn to throw stones rather than reading and arithmetic.
Those Palestinians have been subjected to pain and humiliation additional to that which they have undergone since the occupations in 1967 as they often face not only a curfew but a night of total darkness without gas or electricity. We, the writers from other countries, by publishing articles, books on various matters try to stand beside the victims of Israeli brutality. Palestinian stories are our stories. Hole mankind's stories. My next book 'works of Palestinian women poets'.
I think you will consider my apply hole heartedly, If any scope (I mean IDB rules). The estimated expenditure: 1, 20000 for 2000 books. Some (if need 500) hundred book will given IDB, for sending it's well-wisher. Some will give Bangladeshi prominent Politicians as courtesy for their sympathy for Palestine.
Thanks
Sincerely Yours
