Lost passport
I have contacted the consulate on 13 July 2015 and spoken to the consulate general her self. I am very surprised to see that in one week after made contact with them again, no one has bothered to call back in order to collect the lost passport of a Ecuadorian citizen in shanghai. He arrived in pudong international airport on the 12th of july, and left his passport on the counter at lost luggage counter. I arrived on a flight from Hong Kong and also had lost luggage, which I went to the counter to report. When arrived at the counter there were about 7 passengers from west Africa. On the left side was a passport left. The employee of the airport staff was standing right there by the passport. I mentioned to her 4 times, someone has left his passport, I said! She has not said anything. she completed my report, another 2 passengers arrived behind me, I translated for them,, they were from south Africa, and also lost luggage. I told the employee again, the passport is here, please report this in order for the passenger can have his passport returned. She just walked away. I then took the passport in order to contact the consulate to hand over to them. But now has been one week and the third day, still no one has contact me, I called again on Monday, spoken to them, ask to speak to the consulate general, and say they know about it.

If this is the case about Ecuadorian consulate in shanghai about the care of their own citizens. I am happy not to be one of them.

Hope this guy find a way to depart china without his passport, his visa will expire in a few days. How can someone be so careless and not worry about his own passport if when visiting a foreign country. Specially china which are very strict with foreigners without traveling with your passport.

This is really sad.
