Good morning,
I’m an italian citizen and I work in Maputo (Mozambique) for an italian company. My wife is an Ecuadorian citizen living in Italy, we have one son and we are planning to move together to Mozambique. I'm currently in Maputo and I'm waiting for the residence so that my wife can apply for the residence VISA through the embassy of Mozambique and reach me here (together with our son).
My question is the following: since she is Ecuadorian (and she still doesn’t have the Italian citizenship/passport) is she allowed to travel through South Africa (or she need a special VISA also to transit through the airport)?
I’ve always passed through Johannesburg (there are good flight connections) and since I’m Italian I don’t need VISA but I don’t know if she needs.
I’ve checked on the website of "International relations & cooperation" of South Africa (http://www.dfa.gov.za/) but I’ve not found the response.
I really appreciate if you can give me a support.

My name is Caleb Kiptoo from Kenya and I wish to formally introduce myself further as the Global Flower Product Manager for Fairtrade Flowers (covering Africa and Latin America) and based in Nairobi. My main roles as the Global Flower manager are:
1. Maximizing the impact of Fairtrade on flowers through increased sales and the development of capacity building programmes.
2. Coordinating effective achievement of current market demand of Fairtrade flowers and supporting the development of a global supply strategy to scale up Fairtrade flowers through volume growth and increased producer developmental impact. This shall be done collaboratively with the National Fairtrade Organisations (NFOs)whom I sit together with in the Global Flower Strategy working group.
3. Actively engaging flowers experts, traders and producers like yourself in the flowers strategy, communicating progress, and making relevant information available.
4. Understanding relevant issues in Fairtrade operational scope; pricing mechanism, social and environmental criteria, production (quality, processing), certification & inspection requirements then provide flowers-specific guidance and leading the development of the hired labour and worker development strategies, programmes and workplans together with the Liason officers and develop training programmes.
I have been invited to participate in the 1st Pan-American flower working group meeting in Ecuador on the 7th October 2014 and shall accordingly be one of the presenters. I therefore which to request for assistance or guidance in securing a visa from your consulate as I have been advised considering that we(Kenya) do not have an Ecuadorian Consulate office.
