Comments on this Consulate-General
If you do not get any reply to your phones or e-mail, just simple call the embassy in Washington and complaint to them directly and you will see how fast they return your calls. Or, better yet, write and complain to the President Rafael Correa and see how fast they move. Sometimes Ecuadorians need to be treated the way they treat people and would pay attention to you!!
Gracias,
Gloria Santos

I was reading the posted messages people calling names to the people working in the los angeles consulate.we the americans .we want our way everything .we are use to demmand having patience will help please dont call nobody by names .show some education .remember they got to attend lots of people not one .so be polite because we need the services and demanding is an awful way to represent yourselves .breath think positive and be coirteous and you will be regarded ,nobody deserves to be call by any name.the one the calls name is the one that is naming her own self.remember you dont write something nice dont say it or write it thanks.keep bad words for yourselves and dont write negative and who cares about accents .is a good job and nobody cares about accent show respect to the embassy personnel.
We are hoping to spend a year in Ecuador (family of 4). Does anyone know of a good immigration lawyer in CA who can help us with the rather confusing process. The consulate in SF has closed, so reaching to anyone who knows how to do this in California.
Thank you
I was born in Ecuador 1971 and have a birth certificate.. but since I was 5 I moved to the USA and became a USA citizen..
I now want to move back to Ecuador and get my citizenship there.. Is it possible to have dual citizenship and what do I need to next?
I have called many times and always get a recording that hangs up before taking a message or I get a rude unhappy woman that hangs up on you before you can even explain your needs. I have met the people in Ecuador and they are sweet and nice. Can we get one of those to help us. We only want to take money down and spend it in your country. Is that so bad??
I have called 12 times and only 3 times did I get a real person. The woman that keeps the phones has a heavy accent and if you ask her a question or to repeat she just hangs up and then sends your call to auto answer and then cuts you off before you can leave any message. She is pure evil. Ecuador should get a different representative. She has been in America too long.
Hello, please provide me with the rules & regulations for shipping our personal items to Ecuador. Muchas Gracias
I AM US CITIZEN AND MY FIANCE IS ALGERIAN. WE WANT TO MEET IN QUITO FOR 3 MONTHS. I READ HE DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE A VISA TO HAVE A VACATION IN QUITO. IS THAT RIGHT. THEN DO YOU KNOW HOW HE CAN FLY FROM ALGERIA TO QUITO WITHOUT HAVE TO GET ANY TRANSIT VISAS? I KNOW IF HE HAS A TRANSFER IN MIAMI HE CAN NOT GO WITHOUT A TRANSIT VISA. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND ENERGY ON OUR BEHALF!!
