Travel surprises are usually not good
Anyone know details on how easy it is for a US citizen to extend there, and for exact price? I wanted to go for six Mons minimum, maybe longer, as I am looking for a place to retire, but have financial details to iron out first. Still, I am on a pension.

Visa tourist required?
I will take a tour to Punta this month. I am a legal immigrant in US with valid vietnamese Visa. According to the web, I only need to get Tourist card and pay $10 at the entry gate when I am at Dominican Republic, is it true?

Animal Torture in the Dominican Republic??!!
Who can tell me anything at all about the torture of animals in the Dominican Republic, specifically a cat shown on FaceBook, dating back to 2011?? This barbaric and satanic action CANNOT be tolerated!!

Where is support for my concern, as a US taxpayer?? What has been done to identify and prosecute those involved??

NO respectful, compassionate US citizen should be traveling to a country that turns a blind eye to animal abuse!! Do we need to get he travel/tourist industry involved??

Visitor Info from Indians holding US visitor VISA.
Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am an Indian citizen holding a 10 Year valid Multiple US visitor Visa.
I wish to travel to Punta Cana, DR from Washington DC, USA in January 2013 for just 1 week with my cousin, who is a US citizen.

I am told that Indians, who hold valid US/ UK visas can travel to Dominican Republic for 30 days with visa on arrival.

Please confirm and update me ASAP.

Thanking You,

Your Consulate location
Your Consulate listed on Markrt St. In San Francisco and the one on Oak St. In Alameda California are not at those locations. It was disappointing to arrive in San Francisco and be told it was NEVER located at 870 Markrt St. But is listed on the Internet at that address.
