danish history circa 1850 - 1870
I would like to know a history source where I can find out why my g-g-grandfather left Denmark about 1860 as a teenager. He appeared to be on his own. Was this a common incident where young men left home to end up who-knows-where? I realise it would be difficult to know exactly where he came from but if anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.
