Just passed tohrugh lovely Lisboa en route to Fe1tima. I had a most interesting start to my trip. The flight from Gatwick was so delayedthat I missed the last bus from Lisboa, Sete Rios, to Fe1tima so an overnight stay in Lisboa was the best option. A friendly security guard at the nearby metro station pointed me in the direction of nearby hotels not where I would ordinarily have chosen to stay the business type ones, like Ibis, Novotel etc. As I was somewhat knackered I didn't quibble at paying 53 Euros for a night's comfort. If I'd had more energy I might have headed for Rossio and Prae7a de Figueira. Better scenery AND better Paste9is de Nata! In any case to go to Fe1tima by cab would have cost around 100 Euros (at least that's what it cost me few years back) so the hotel was still the cheaper option as the express bus I caught the next morning only costs 11.50 Euros. The Lisboa hotel buffet-breakfast was excellent. I still prefer my hotel in Fe1tima which I find more comfortable and, being out of the City, cheaper.
