Subject- looking for partner to fund our small projects
Dear Sir/Madam
Parkinson Patients Support Organization-Ethiopia is a local NGO established in 2011 with goal of Parkinson Patients and their care givers to live quality life. Parkinson patients are those affected by Parkinson disease (PD). PD is a degenerative and progressive disease. Its symptoms are trauma, difficult to walk, balance problem and lot others. Before establishment of (PPSO-E) no NGO or government body was working on it. Nothing had told about Parkinson on radios or written materials. Patients in addition to the severity of the problem do not know what is the name and cause of their disability. Realizing the problem few Parkinson patients establish the organization with the ultimate goal for Parkinson patients and their care givers to live quality life. Towards this end, the organization implement massive awareness program including trainings, workshops, and experience exchanges consultations. After three years of successful work, we feel that there is a gap to bring PD patients life improvement. Patients face economy problem. .when a person diagnosed by Parkinson disease can not able to generate income, rather necessitate one adult member of the family to look after the patient. This significantly affects the household income.
In order to reach our goal, we consider adding care and support program. Therefore, we request the Czech Republic Embassy to fund one or more of our small projects for the patients at least to maintain the current quality of their life. We have 300 poor patient beneficiaries. We are ready to discuss with you or bring our project proposal as to your convince time. Currently we have 5 small projects, the maximum budget each not exceeding 80,000 birr.
We are looking for your positive response.
Sincerely
Kibra Kebede
