Please help
We got a letter from your embassy that stated South Africans who have a valid tourist Schengen Visa do not require a Croatian Visa if the trip includes Croatia as well as Europe. We have got our German Schengen Visas now, but someone at German Embassy now told our friends that are travelling with us that Croatia still requires a Croatian Visa - please let me know urgently as we are leaving in less than a month.

EXCELLENT SERVICE
During July 2011 I applied for a tourist visa at the Croatian Embassy in Pretoria. I do travel a lot and had many previous experiences with Foreign Embassys and Consolates. The sevice at the Croatian Embassy was of a high standard and the personnel friendly and efficient.

Appalling Service
I am much displeased with the nonexistant PR service provided by the Croatian Embassy in Pretoria South Africa. With only one person on duty, a grim spectre from last Century, disguised in feminine form, who has no idea of our custom queing for service, ignoring people who have been patiently waiting for attention, rather dealing with couriers who jump the queue, and then taking 45 minutes to process a single Visa application. This person attended to the fist ligitamate applicant after two hours. Needless to say, the hopefuls that were patiently awaiting their turn, queing outside of the application office, had no hope in hell in being served within the 3 hour window, when the office is open. To top the short window period, the offic is only open three days a week, effectively operating (on go slow strike) for 9 hours pper week. Is this how tourists and businessmen are encouraged to visit Croatia???
