We will travel by cruise ship and have multiple entry Schengen Visas. We have a one night stay in Dubrovnik. Do we need a Croatia Visa to visit the city for the day?
We are on the MED CRUISE and we have a stop-over 12:00 to 5:00. Can we go sight seeing with our Schengen?? If not - what do we need and what is the cost.

We are travelling in a party of 5 on a Mediterranean Cruise and are stopping over for a day in Dubrovnik on the 14th April 2013. Please advise if a Croatian Visa is required if we hold a Schengen Visa. Thank you.
Greetings.
I have a friend from Capetown who wants to visit me in Zagreb.
He will soon get a Schengen visa.
Is that visa valid by itself for entering Croatia today, or it will be just after our official membership in EU this year?
(Meaning he has to get a Croatian visa nevertheless)
Also, if invitation letter needed, does it matter if the pearson who is inviting him is officially unemloyed?
Dear Sir/Madam,
