Aug 16th/Agree with Liz
Liz I completly agree from you. Today my Mother, my Aunt, and myself took my Grandmother to the Embassy in Miami and it was dreadful. They closed early without announcing nor posting it on their website. My Grandmother is 92 years old and she cant be moved around a lot and they still denied her and said they were closed because of the holiday in Colombia. I was ashamed that our own people treated the public like trash. My mother and I are from New York City, our Colombian Embassy is very respectful and considerate of us. My mother called the number on their website and spoke with a representative directly from Colombia. the man at the door was laughing at my mother because she told him she was talking to someone directly from Colombia. This exprience made me think a lot of human nature, these people who work for the Colombian Embassy in Miami need to be fired and changed for people who have customer service skills and aren't looking to merely have days off.

Demand for change at Consulate in Coral Gables
Since 1990 this consulate has offered dreadful service and It is an embarrassment to the Colombians who reside in this city and especially to those who visit.

Those of us who live outside of Colombia need a consulate that is automated in accordance with other governmental agencies in the U.S.

It has been more than 20 years since I can remember that this office has continued to operate in this manner with no avail to change.

I suggest that as Colombians in this city we should unite and demand change in this office. Lets start writing and flooding this office!!

If the current administration and personnel in this office is not willing to tend appropriately to its Colombian citizens than there should be a change in personnel.
