wrong dates...
I was trying to get a record of my Mothers cityzenship and they told me they had no records she ever existed though she was born there. They even got dates wrong that were given to them correctly.
In fact she was registered there in 1949 when she went to visit her Mother.

In fact they have no record that I was born there or existed.

They REPRESENT the Colombian Governement in one of USA,s most "refined" cities yet they are far from refined in what they do.

Something wrong with this picture?

Passport change
Hello,
My wife is colombian and needs to change her information on her colombian passport. She has tried and tried to get someone on the phone but after repeated calls no one anwsers. Questions: What does she need to do to change her last name on her colombian passport to her married name. Does she need a new picture, proof of her marriage, green card, Massachusetts identificaation card, and or anything else? What is the cost?
I am sending an email also with more detail.
Thank You,
Andy

Waist or time and money...
A couple of years back there were some nice people and assisted promptly....went back in july 2011 for a new cedula and told me i had to pay for a emergency passport $200! plus pictures $12 and for the new cedula total $255!! anways it took all day till closing to get those papers....
then they told me to go back 6 months later to pick up the new cedula and pay for a new passport cause the emergency one is only valid for 6 mo.the ladies are so arrogant...and the consul is a dumb fool stares at me like if i was some kinda bum or criminal....i hope they all get FIRED! they dont show any respect or any pride in the work 8:30am to 1:00 is not the time for business should be open till 5:00pm

Waste of time
The Embassy in Boston is horrible. They lack knowledge of information you need . They also give wrong information that later can lead to many problems . There are long waits and rude employees. I have been there many times on business that needed to be handled and the message given to me was that they do not care. I hope they get a change of employees and let them not be concerened with their appearances but more on the happiness of the customers because we are the one funding their jobs.

Please answer Phone or emails
I have sent emails and have tried to contact the consulate by phone but have had no result. I understand that working from 7:30am to 1:30pm is exhausting but please try to provide the service you are asked to provide.
I am looking to obtain a Colombian ID card.
Very simple and should not be such as struggle.
Thank you and be well,
