Honorary Consulate of Canada in Padova

Visiting Venice, Staying at Hotel Villa Patriarca in Mirano VE,
The ACTV cheated hundreds, possibly thousands of tourists, including myself on August 31, 2018. I paid 20 Euros for a 24 hour Waterbus ticket at the hotel. They gave me a print out with a PIn. I followed the instructions, put the pin in the Yellow machines at Piazzale Roma, & no ticket came out. The person responsible did not put paper in the machines to print tickets. I waited two hours at the Yellow ACTV office with hundreds of people who were ripped off. I wanted the ticket I paid for. The ticket person said I should complete a complaint form. I did that & was told they would send me the money in 30 days. I want my ticket while I am still here in Venice. They can give me a ticket & have info in their computer showing I put the right info in the machine. I want you to act on my behalf, call me at the hotel. Also protect other Canadians by posting this corrupt practice on the Canadian Website for Travel Warnings. The Italian Transportation hopes tourists leave & they keep our money. I will file a police report tomorrow if I do not receive my ticket or the 20 Euros. Carol Murphy
