NO change in application status after the suggested 5 weeks processing time
Dear Visa Officer,

I submitted my visa application on November 7th and at the time, the processing time was 5 weeks. However it's been 5 weeks today and my file has not even been opened by a Visa Officer.

I recently contacted the embassy and I was told that it would be processed within the dedicated processing time. What is not clear is what processing time applies to an applicant. Surely it should be the one prevailing on the date of submission. Because processing times go up and down so it wouldn't make sense for an applicant to refer to the processing time after the application was submitted.

I'm a bit confused, fustrated and worried because lectures start soon (January 3rd) and I did my best to submit the application early. I couldn't have done it earlier because I had to wait for a final offer from the University, the CAQ confirmation email and other legal documents from my parents.

Morever the embassy takes a couple of days or weeks to respond to an inquiry. This only adds more stress as one cannot call or physically go to the embassy to obtain an update on the status of the application.

My lectures start on January 3rd and I might lose the academic year if I go there too late. Is there any chance of getting a feedback regarding my application before the end of December?
If you cannot help me can you indicate me an email or phone number i can contact to be helped? i have contacted several emails with no answers and have called unsuccessfully. I am desperate to get an answer. My email address is: sandra.kaya@okstate.edu if you need to contact me privately to have my application number.
Thank you,
Tamara

ABOUT MY LOST PASSPORT
I am a nepalese citizen currently on a F1 visa in the USA.Me and my husband had applied for canadian visitor visa this May and was told by your office that our passports were mailed out to us on MAy 26th 2017,but unfortunately we haven't received my passport till date.

You said that we didn't sent our passport with a returning envelope that had tracking number on it but I clearly remember sending that out to you.How can a office like this be so irresponsible about such important document.I even filled a case with USPs and they said no such documents were found.I still wonder if you mailed it out or not.i tried contacting the office more than 100 times in these four months but didnt get any reply other than automed voicemails and automated emails.

You say there is no way u can help. How can there be no way to help us out when you were the one who last had our passport. If those were really mailed out to us could you please send some proof to us which we can use to find the passport.I guess you are a human who is reading this email so please atleast try to help us for the sake of humanity. We are in great trouble now thanks to the canadian consulate.

We just didn't lose our passport we lost the us visa with it and now we are in a foreign country stuck with no visa and no passport. We do not want canadian visa now we just want our passport back.PLEASE HELP US TO GET IT BACK.PLEASE!!!!!
