Will any of your concern be address here?
I am not living in Jamaica presently; I just happen to come across this website by chance. I have a nephew sitting in Jamaica for over two years waiting to hear from the Canadian Embassy for a response to an application for a visa without a response at all.
My question is what is the person under whom portfolio this affairs fall is doing about this issue? This situation has long pass prejudice and racial injustice when a government show no care for its own citizens by allowing this type of behaviour to go unchallenged in broad daylight. If the Canadian embassy is not in Jamaica to facilities the Jamaican people as well as their citizens living or working there what are their purposes? Yet Jamaica as a nation is classified as the most violent place with equal aggressive people. I would say as a people Jamaican have lost the fire in their belly; Nanny, Paul Bogle, Sam Sharp, William Gordon to name a few must be turning over in their graves.
The Canadian embassy have offer their services to Jamaican for a fee, the government must hold them accountable, the powers that be should regulate the operation of this embassy, or close down then down. No person would accommodate the abuse of a guess in their home; so why are we paying these people to treat us even worst that the slave master did to our ancestors?
Discussing the matter on this forum is like writing a letter and posting it under ones mattress.
Jamaicans do you realize that it’s your hard earn cash that is paying for the Canadian embassy up-keep, including paying these people that show such disregard for you all as human being or individual? I would suggest to all you Jamaican, stop supply the vampire baby with bottles of nourishing milk, and see how long they could survive. Then they will come to their senses play them at their own game; after all, they are only taking your monies and not giving the visas anyway with their silly excuses. It’s a scam- That’s white-collar crime in a nutshell.

Unbelievable
My partner is stuck in Jamaica as he has lost his Canadian passport. He has told me it could take several days or till Sept 10th to replace it. I thought he was talking nonsense until I read all these comments. I feel so bad for all these people on here who are just trying to get a simple answer to their questions. I had heard of the poor reputation this place has and I cannot believe nothing has been done about it. I am even more convinced that nobody reads any of the posts as surely to God something would have been done. I wish you all good luck in solving your problems and getting answers to your questions. I do not live in Jamaica and it is easy for me to talk I know but people need to do something about this. This is digraceful and so very disrespectful to everyone. Me thinks Bob would say..... GET UP STAND UP -STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!!!!

AND UP TO NOW I DIDN'T EVEN GET A RESPONSE FROM THE EMBASSY. THE SERVICE IS VERY POOR .WHAT IF I WANTED TO ATTEND A FAMILY/FRIEND FUNERAL OR WEDDING IT'S SUCH A WASTE OF TIME . Miserable
It is very disheartening to apply for a visitor's visa in this office. Firstly, they don't answer their phone. Next, they don'y answer emails. Reading all the posts here makes matters even worse. Is this office really the way people are describing it?

Visitor's visa
Im wondering why do you guys take so long to process the applications. At the embassy and on your website it say 20 days for application processing but yet still persons are waiting for months with no indication as to why. and when you have finally decide to glance at the application, it is refused! because the the time the person wanted the visa for had past.Which was your fault. I'm sure you have ruined a lot of persons holidays.

I knew that there was some foul play into this visa thingy...bout u don't have to come to the embassy for an interview...this is the easiest way to rubb hard working Jamaican people of their money. When is somebody going to stop this injustice at that Kingston Canadian embassy....God not sleeping...the same measure they judge with its the same way their going to b judge.

Visitors visa
I think the Canadian embassy in Kingston Jamaica is aiding and abetting extortion and fraud.Their website should have informed applicants to provide a certain anvelope for return mail. There are a number of person being turned away because they didn't know about such anvelope. The embassy should provide this anvelope because the processing fee is more than enough to cover that cost.Instead, applicants have to be paying $900 for an anvelope that cost under $300 elsewhere. I don't think this is a Canadian policy.

visiting visa @ jamaica embassy
I can't really understand the process for a visitor visa to canada. An application was sent to the kingston office from a 5th April. Somebody from the embassy call me on the 16th day of april stating that i need a return envelope from dhl..which i purchase for $900 which taken to them the next day the 17th. All when May came no news from them and the worst thing about this was that i have an appointment in Canada on the 9th..The 8th day of May came and i having heard from the embassy or dhl about my package, which i was disappointment that they turn the visa down because of that time my appointment day was gone...which i find very disrespectful to Jamaica people because this application was sent over a month..and because a return envelope the start count the working days from the 17th of april...lol
