Folks
heres a thought...if all the rhetoric and chaos is being caused at the government level...get your MP's involved on your behalf - they are paid to look out for your interests..
Okay so here's my question(s)
App filed 12-14-2012
Sponsorship approved 01-16-2013
File Fwd to Kingston 01-16-2013
Medial Results rec'd 02-14-2013 (Status Updated)
He is even guaranteed full time employment - letter of employment offer sent to Kingston as well.
We have heard nothing since...OMG the wait...unbearable
all fees were paid - medicals done, criminal checks done...EVERYTHING.
Can someone tell me how long more i must wait? anyone with good news?
The biggest issue I have with the Canadian Embassy in Kingston is the lack of communication. For example my husband was asked to submit his passport for his PR visa, which he did, and after that they leave us hanging. No information on the average length of time it will take or nothing. When we email them to ask for an "approximate" timeline, no response. This has been the case all through our process. When further information is required from us, we don't know about it until after I've asked my MP to follow up on it. Why can't they just email us, or prepare a letter to us right at the time they are handling the application. My husband's app sat in their office for 7 months! before we were told that they needed something from us. The person who initially reviewed his application made note that information need from us yet they neglected to actually ask us for the information until 7 months later.
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a visa to travel from Jamaica to canada latly? my husband sent in his application package the other day now we are just waiting patiently. I had sent him a envitation letter and all the other info needed he had also submitted everything he needed on his part. If he is unable to come for a visit, I am bedating weather I should just be preparing myself to head down there. Also does anyone happen to know about how long it should take from the day he dropped his package off until we hear back on there decision? please email if anyone has any info. des_c_s@hotmail.com I traveled down to be by my husband last month, and this past month with out him has been one of the hardest months of my life!
I was admitted recently to a particular school in Ontario Canada, after reading these comments I am a little dis encouraged to apply but i will anyway.
You will NEVER get through. Take it from me. I've gotten my share of those person at the embassy. They ruin everyone feelings and thoughts of visiting canada.
No one here can say they have gotten a visa recently from the embassy. I suggest you fly down to jamaica to see your family cause they sure aint getting no visa from the embassy there in jamaica.
I live in Canada and want to have a family re-union here in June. I was about to send my two brothers invitation letters but after reading these posts I am scared to do so as it doesn't sound promising that they will get through. Seems as though I will be wasting my time.
if those persons at the embassy weren't getting 180,000 and more for giving out visa illegally then decent law abiding citizen would be able to pay their 7 and 15 thousand and get visa to travel.
i know lots of criminals and weed head from the ghetto who are now in canada after buying visa for 200,000 and most of them cant even read.
then we UNIVERSITY GRADUATES with our degrees and jobs needing vacation to see relatives in canada cant get visa cbecause of a corrupt system
The High Commission has no rules or system that one can try to stick with and obey. They keep denying people who have their visas and return home without violating the rules who apply after their visa have expired. If the rule is after you visa has expired we will not issue you with another they need to let us know. How can you deny someone a visa on the grounds that you are not convinced they will return after their visit after the person has visited Canada 6 times and returned to their home and job. That person sound like someone who would not return? Any person with a little sense would say that if the person wanted to stay they would have done so. What this tells me about the people who work there and make these decisions is that their reasoning power is very limited. I think its deliberate and a they feel they have this power.
i heard that they will be implementing bio metric info, so people can't go around the system no more and they will have to see you in person one way or another.
so maybe it's best to wait until that time
