I have been worked as an interpreter and translator with CANADIAN Defence forces in
Kandahar province Afghanistan.
From Aug-2010 to Dec-2011.
As you guys better know the situation of Afghanistan not so good especially in Kandahar
Such as assassination, kidnapping and killing the insurgents operate in the area killing and
targeting interpreters. The insurgents never let anyone to work for ISAF forces
Since I started this job with ISAF forces initially I was not facing any threat from the insurgents
but gradually the Taliban found out that I am an interpreter with ISAF forces.
I received many phone calls and threat letter (Night Letter) from insurgents/ Taliban to quite
this job, but I ignored their warnings I am the only member of my family to support my family
therefore I continued my job as an interpreter. Firstly the insurgents found my phone number
and called me to quite this job otherwise they will kill me and my family members, I ignored
them secondly the insurgents visited my home at the time looking for me. the asked my younger
brother that one more chance to quite this job within ten days otherwise we will kidnap one of
your family member and until you hand over Faizli Ahmad to us.
My father phoned me and told me the whole story about the insurgents visited my house.
Even if I quitted the job that time I would not be safe in Afghanistan. The insurgents will still be
interested to kill me or my family member because of job with ISAF forces.
The 3rd time the insurgents came to house asking about me, my father told them that he is no
longer our family member. I descended him from my family. My son is not in my control any
more. My father told the insurgents that you can do whatever you can, but please do not disturb
my family.
My family live in hazardous situation in Kandahar where there is no security.

I am an expert English translator have worked with Canadian International Development Association (CIDA) fir at least 3 years and have taught English language for ten years now. Ihave also worked as coordinator and research supervisor as well administrator.
Right now I am totally jobless and seeking for a full time job.
