APPEAL as a Muslim Brother For Special Children & Mentally ill Persons of Foundation.
Balkhi Memorial Foundation (Regd) is an Organization for the mentally retarded children, which is registered with Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, since 1991. It was founded by (Late) Dr. S. I. Khan Balkhi & run by him single handedly under self-support. But since his sudden and untimely demise in January’2009, his daughter Dr. Amna Khan Balkhi, with the help of the Executive Members and working team of qualified and devoted staff has been running it successfully inspite of mounting handicaps. Her main hurdle is acute shortage of finance needed for monthly expenses. The misfortune of the Balkhi Memorial Foundation For Child Welfare is that all the three projects are housed in rented accommodation. Most acute case is that of Musarrat Balkhi Institute of Child Behaviour & Development for which we have been issued vacation orders by Sindh High Court expiring on 30th August’2011. The Institute has to shift the School of Special Children without fail by the given date; the Institution does not posses adequate resources to acquire some other building for the purpose. We request you to kindly rescue this Institution to save its inmates and staff from utter ruin, by providing it sufficient funds to purchase a building of its own to accommodate them.
This $ 7. 5 Lacs US dollars will be ONE-OFF grant or contribute in this humanitarian cause. Special Children, their parents and members of staff are undergoing terrible stress and looking up to kind hearted Philanthropists like yourself to salvage them.
