Shea Butter Plant
Embassy of Brazil in Lomé
Attention the Ambassador

Dear excellence,

My name is Mr. Steven Tuinstra, I'm a Dutchman, but now I live and work in Togo
Since 2002 I live and work in West Africa, in the countries Burkina Faso, Mali, Ivory Coast and Togo
Since August 2009 I am general director of a Togolese company called International Goutte d'Or Holding Sa
A company that manufactures Shea Butter for export on semi industrial scale
We are a member of International Shea Butter Institut since 2002
www.sheainstitut.com

Shea Butter are made from Shea Nuts a fruit that only exist in West and Central Africa.
IGO Holding Sa had been 30 years a network of collectors and suppliers of Shea Nuts, in Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Guinea

The chocolate industry, cosmetics industry and pharmaceutical suit-producing industries are interested in Shea Butter to their products
There is more demand than supply.

• Chocolate industry: 90 to 95%
• Cosmetic industry: 5 to 10%
• Pharmaceutical industry: 0,05%

At this moment Shea Butter are produced on a manual and semi-industrially way in West Africa
We want to change this and will build a Shea Butter plant
With a modern production line with computer controlled machines.

For that I have written a detailed business plan.

I have contacted the Dutch machine factory Duyvis / Wiener, the engineers of Duyvis / Wiener and our engineers,
have on paper set up. a computer-controlled production line http://www.duyviswiener.com/company/

In West Africa, you have no specific shea butter plant.

The Shea Tree grows only in West and Central Africa.
A disadvantage of processing shea nuts into shea butter in Europe, South and North America or Asia are the transport costs.
To produce 1 kg of shea butter, you need 2.2 kg shea nuts,
So as you understand it is much cheaper to produce shea butter in West Africa.

We met with the Prime Minister of Togo, Mr. Gilbert Houngbo.
He has read our business plan and found it a very interested project
He has given us his full cooperation and support, within the scope of the Government of Togo
He also has confirmed us this in a letter on behalf of the Togolese Government.(Annex)

We have a strong management team
Each member has more than 20 years experience in their field
The Shea Butter plant create 300 new jobs in Togo

Through internet I learned that Shea Butter is imported to Brazil from West Africa.

I request you to contact me with companies in Brazil that import Shea Butter
Or companies in one way or another connected with the Shea Butter industry

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact me

I am looking forward to your reply, thanks in advances for that.

With kind regards,

Mr. Steven Tuinstra
