Respected sir, I am an Indian and my wife is Bhutanese. Her passport is about to expire so we are applying for a new one. In the new form there is the option if she is married or not. We have been married in India for the last 7 months. I have a valid/legal marriage certificate to back it. Could i use that as a proof that she is married now?is the Indian marriage Certificate valid in Bhutan as it is all over the world? please do let me know. Thank you.

Pranam. This is to submit most respectfully to the notice of your kind self that Darjeeling Hills/GTA has been virtually left out of the Asian highway project being implemented by UNESCAP which would be immensely beneficial to northeastern states of India .Except a negligible stretch of road from Panitanki on Indo-Nepal border to Fulbari in Siliguri division the GTA comprising of Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong sub-divisions are practically out of this mega international infrastructure project.
Thimpu to Khatmandu via Coronation bridge,Deorali,Teesta valley, Gielle,Gairydhura, Barbatey bridge, Bashdhura, Bhainsitardhura, Rishep Bazar, Setong, Mamring busty, Kurseong , Mirik and Pashupatinagar market on Indo-Nepal border could have been included in Asian highway project so that the benefits of Trans Asian land transport infrastructure project can be made available to the hill people of GTA, Bhutan and Nepal .
Hence it’s hereby prayed that your kind self may be pleased to instruct the concerned authorities /UNESCAP to include the road from Thimpu to Khatmandu via , Coronation bridge,Deorali,Teesta valley, Gielle,Gairydhura, Barbatey bridge, Bashdhura, Bhainsitardhura, Rishep Bazar, Setong, Mamring busty, Kurseong Mirik and Pashupatinagar market in the Asian highway project for the kind act of which the Hill people of this part of the country would be grateful to your kind self throughout their lives.
