I am living in Qatar and my wife in Belgium. She is going to give birth in November and I have to be there at the time of giving birth so as to register my child under my name because according to the Belgian law, if the father is not Belgium at the time of birth the child will be registered under his mother's name. Is there way to register the child under my name without I go to Belgium? if possible, what are the documents I should provide to prove that (I have the act marriage legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in my Country and at the Qatari Embassy? If it is mandatory to be in Belgium, please let me know how I can get a visit visa in November?
