I expected much better treatment
Well the Belgium embassy is supposed to represent its country here right!? If this is the treatment I'm gonna get there no thanks i rather stay home. The man-eater lady behind the glass is a Lebanese like i am, i didn't find a reason for her to act in superior way, she has no clue about customer service, she had a mocking attitude, and under estimation for the people being interviewed. My smiles and humorous character didn't work with her. Anyway, my visa is now under process and i might seriously cancel the trip or just go to some other European country. I felt bad after i left, I've never been mistreated anywhere, and what bothered me the most is that i didn't express it! I kept my classiness and left. I thought she missed her morning cup of coffee but after i read the above comments it seems she has this habit everyday. This lady must be very thankful for the separating glass.

Asylum
Dear Sir , Madam :
Subject : apply for Asylum
Name : Rania Ibrahim

According to the news that your government announce , and become public , that you start to have Syrian refuge .
I would like to know more information a bout it if you please .

Am 38 years old , work and live in Damascus , single , am from the minority s in Syria , i am ( Drouz) people and during the bad situation in my country i was in a very serious and dangerous situations , and recently i was offended by some people because of not wearing ( Hijjab ) and not being religious person .
Am looking for a new life in free country like your own , living with no fear and no pain , practicing my own believes and be a free soul .
My reasons maybe wont be enough for you , but i have to try and do my best to get a chance for a new life with safety , peace , and dignity .
The situation in our country is going to hell especially for people like me , and am wondering if the news are right who would be able to apply for Asylum ? Syrian people who already live in the camps of Lebanon , Jordan and other country's ? or Syrian who still living in are able to ?
Hope to get the information that i need from your side and all the documents that i may need for that .
Thanks for your help .

Hi
Hi
I swear
In Gods name if it was not for my husband I would not step a foot in Belgium.
It's like they interrogate u as a terrorist I understand it's their job but come on
They don't have to be so rude like that. I believe it's not the richest country in
Europe and they should know we gonna spend our money there.

Belguim embassy in Lebanon review
i Think my experience with Belgian embassy in Beirut was the worst i had when applying for a visa. They don't state clearly all papers needed on their website or when you ask at the embassy, and they make you return to embassy several times to complete your profile with papers they ask. Also they do not stick to the working hours sometimes, and close accepting applications when their is a big load of applicants. As i know they changed now the rude women that was receiving application. Now the new person (also a women) reicieving applications for visa is much kinder and helpful then that of last year. Most people i saw are going to spend money there either for tourism,Buisiness or education so its not respectful and decent the high effort and frustration people are having through their visa application experience and sometimes the rudeness of employees which i think the embassy worked on solving that this year by changing faces and putting kinder employees to deal with people.

I was shocked by the rudeness of the lady
I couldn't resist writing about my experience at the Belgian embassy after I read the comment above. I went with my husband to apply for a visa. When my turn came to have a picture of me taken in the booth, I moved for a second. She started being aggressive and asked my husband in a very rude manner for me to stay still. Then I had also an awful reaction when I put my fingers on the machine. She was so mean, and said: "Can't you just put your fingers the way your husband just did and do it properly???" The lady just have a problem with women. It's obvious. I wish someone would read this and explain to her that she's giving a very bad image of the Belgian Embassy in Lebanon.

I expected better treatment
I have applied for visas in many embassies, some experiences were good some not so good. But my experience in the Belgian embassy in beirut was terrible. The lady wasnt convinced why i wanted to go there for "tourism"- my husband usually plans all our trips - i dont interfer in any of the details so i wasnt prepared for her questions about our travel itenary. I know she is doing her job but i felt like being over interrogated - I was even asked what the capital of Belgium is. And finally there was the fingerprints - i have an old fractured finger on my left hand - so it was hard to press all fingers together - she was the most rude then. I am a well educated person, presentable looking and i think i deserve minimum amount of respect. We all have long , hard working days but it still does not give us an excuse to treat one another like dirt..
