I was surprised when my colleague told me that he needs to have a visa when travelling to Bahrain and this is to be processed in Abu Dhabi where Embassy of Bahrian is located. My colleague used to travel Bahrain for business trip and it was always visa upon arrival. We were not informed or at least published in the newspaper to inform the public with the new rule.He was supposed to travel this morning for business meeting. Is there any other way we can process the visa? like online application? How much is the fee and hoe long does it take to process the visa?
Are all kind of nationalities required to apply for visa or is there any exception like having American passport or British passport?

is there no bahrain embassy here in dubai since i abruptly plan to visit bahrain during this coming 2 days holiday? is there a possibility to get visa online or the person who invited me to visit bahrain can gat visa for me from there & send it to me through email?advise is highly appreciated.thank you
