SUB: REQUEST FOR DURABLE SOLUTION
I am Abdullahi Omar Salah Of Somalia National holder of UNHCR mandate number:NSOM016426/1 who fled Somalia in January 2010 because of protracted civil war caused by warring groups . In Somalia I missed members of my wife and children whom I don’t know their whereabouts since 2010. In addition to this, while fleeing Somalia in my way to Kenya, the lorry that I was traveling with overturned as a result I had sup rumblical region hernia. Fortunately I was assisted by GIZ who covered expenses of surge and treatment at Kenyatta national Hospital. Now I am recovering from implications of surgical operation where I am taking medicine at home, however I can’t do my daily chores where I previously used to cover my daily life , therefore I am in need of help in my life (accommodation and daily meals)
In Kenya I was received by UNHCR,Nairobi branch who registered me as an urban refugee and provided me with refugee mandate. Despite the fact that I am a person who is registered by the Refugee Agency, however I am lacking basic needs and suffering from above mentioned problems.
Also I met harassment and attacks from unknown people since I was in Nairobi , on 13 October 2011 , three men hided their faces were attacked me and tried to kill me and then I run away finally and I don’t know who they are . Also a letter which is from Nairobi police station which about my case you can see a copy with this letter.
As I am a person who fled his country for fear of persecution and who is need of protection, I anticipate that you will give my case special attention by providing resettlement in a third country in accordance with refugee convention.
I therefore submit to your esteemed office this humble request in which I apply for resettlement on eligibility grounds.
I hope that you will consider my case on eligibility grounds
