Re: Russian Visas for Australia
Hi Robert,
If you want to know how much a visa costs to get a person here from Russia, you should investigate through the Australian Immigration site. They have there all the information. Anyway, before you decide to date someone from a different country I believe that you should investigate what you get yourself in. The costs are quite substantial. Firstly you have to go and meet her at least once and spend time together. Secondly, the visa would cost close to $3000, plus her medical costs. Then her tickets to come to be with you.
So here are just some thoughts...
Good luck.

Russian Visas for Australia
There are endless Russian ladies scamming Australian men. It is a huge business for example there are web sites with photos and details of these scammers. Just to show you the magnitude of this business, just one site has 3500 photos of these scammers. Physically there are rooms of men and women full time writing scam letters paying girls a small fee for the use of young ladies identity. Therefore a man in Australia might be recieving love letters thinking it was a young lady when in fact it may be a professional man scammer.

All that said when a scammer asks for cash money to get a visa or air fare it is usually an inflated cost. I looked on the Australian Embassy in Russia to verify the costs claimed by one for these scammers.

It was frustrating and well as impossible. I went to the Ast. Emb. site in Russia then under the visitors visa site under fees and charges all I got was a lot of talk about what was required then under costs still nothing, no cost stated.

What is the problem with having a heading for the cost of such a visa then not stating the cost, yes the cost. They say how they can pay the money yet the actual seems to be a secret, why ?

This the only way a person in Australia can check if he or she is being told lies.
On your site it clearly states an applicant in Russia can apply by post yet russian scammers claim the need to travel to Moscow to get a visa in person at a huge cost of travelling and staying in Moscow for a few weeks to get such a visa. These scammers also claim they require to personally pay for their air tickets personally in cash to show they have personal resources thus giving them a reason to ask for more money in the form of loan, part of the scam.

Taking this a step further, if you put on if you put together all the information about acquiring a visa in Russia for a visit to Australia and the department costs, this would at least give Australians a clue as to wether they are being scammed.

Your department only can make this information available to Australians and limit the ability of scammers to get money from Australians. Please do at least something for Australians. Don't tell me you can't ! ! ! ! ! !

Visa
I have been in contact with a lady called Angelina Kiseleva who is applying for a visa to visit me. She wants a hand written letter with my name and address stating she is visiting me so I need to know if she actually applied for a visa and do I need to send a letter with my details. We have been in touch through a dating site so it is hard to believe she is actually paying for everything herself to come here which is unusal in itself. I need the answers so we can deal with this matter sensibly.
