No Australian Consulate in Ukraine?
I think the move of the Australian government to save money by closing down some of its foreign missions abroad 10 years ago was really a bad move. They seem to consider Ukraine to be among the countries that do not deserve to have Australian consulate. Why do they make people travel a long way abroad losing their time and money to solve even simple questions? It looks like a mere disregard for the needs of Ukrainian and its own citizens!

Please be informed that there is no Australian Consulate or Embassy in Ukraine.

The Australian Embassy in Vienna, Austria, represents Australia diplomatically in Ukraine.

registration of new born
My wife and I are Australian Citizens and we are going through a surrogacy program in the Ukraine. We started the program mid last year and sign all the various contracts before the change of law on the 1st March 2011. We are coming to the Ukraine in September/October for the delivery of our twins. We wanted to know if we can carry out the registration of the twins in our passports at the Honorary Consulate of Australia in Kiev.
