This responsibility rests with the Australian High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya (for residents of Ghana, Burkina Faso and Mali) and the Australian High Commission in Pretoria (for residents of Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Guinea and Togo).
On 8 February 2012, Australia introduced a new visa application procedure for applicants in Ghana. Clients submitting paper-based applications in Ghana, regardless of nationality, need to lodge their applications directly at the Australian Visa Application Centre, operated by Teleperformance.
Visa applicants will need to go in person to the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Accra to lodge their application and provide biometrics in the form of digital fingerprints and a facial photograph.
