Denial
This left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. The money was hard enough for 3 of us but I felt as if I did something wrong, as though we we not good enough for America.Three upstanding trinis meeting every criteria and denied with a vague letter of reasons why and none applying to us was a mind blowing experience. My daughter was so crushed. I may try again only for her sake just for the experience. We don't intend to stay it's just having worked hard and is now able to travel we tried but I'll see.....

No strong ties?
Being told that you are denied under section 214b is no explanation at all. I know of a couple who has deeds to acres of land, own their own house, have 2 children who are well established professionals in the country and the couple themselves have permanent government jobs in trinidad ( one being a nurse) with a fair amount of savings. They demonstrated that they just wanted to visit the united states for a period of two weeks for vacatikn and have all intentions of returning home and they were told their visas are being denied under section 214b. These individuals were never asked to provide any supporting documents for review and instead they were outright denied. How is this any fair treatment?? How is this equality? This is no way to treat educated professionals. Trinidad is a country considered stable and why would two people who have comfortable lives here want to do anything other than visit the United states especially when all of their family resides in trinidad!

Dissapointed
It is just not right you loose your money when you do not get through. At least some reund should be given. You sit and watch their ad welcome to America, I am America etc and you get turned down. I don't have a visa and don't want one, however my child was given a did well in exam gift by his grandparents to visit with family and he was turned down. What really upset the hell out of me was the consulate watch my kid and myself as though I was trying to pimp my kid out of the country with his grandmother. I fought to control the jungle instinct, to tell that guy off. Denied my kid an opportunity after working and studying so hard to be able to shop and enjoy spending time with his cousins who live in America. You people should really look into a refund for citizens you treat people like they are begging to visit your country. My money would be better spent in the Caribbean.
