Need Information on passport renewel
I am still so sick in my head and my stomach, and ever so dizzy, every time I close my eyes I see the motor cycle speeding off down the dusty empty noon day street toward Hadayek Helwan, with the two men in white T-shirts. These two men came up behind me as I was walking home from the metro; I had just been to Maadi to the bank as we have no bank in my small town.
So once a month I have to go to the bank in Maadi to get my money for the month, I always go in the day time and I have to take my bank card and my passport, the rest of the month these two items stay in my flat well hidden. It was any ordinary Tuesday, hot, dry, dusty, and in the noon day sun (12:15pm) the shops were closed and the men were at prayer. I turned the corner off the main street on to Gamel Abdel Nasser Street, very close to my home and I was hot and tired. Just a few more feet and I would turn done the small street that leads to the street that I live on, off the main drag here in Hadayek, where everyone knows me and watches out for me.
From behind me came a motor cycle, I never even heard it coming, it must have just turned the corner a minute after I did, it came up beside me grabbed my purse from my shoulder, taking the small bag of pens and notebook I was carrying and sped off down the dusty empty street. I fell to my knees, I was stunned, and I was in shock. I looked around and all the shops were closed and no one was in the street, the men were all at prayer. I started down the street to follow them but they were going too fast. There was nothing I could do now, I had lost everything.
My passport, my debit card, my money 4,000 LE about $650 I need to replace my stolen receiver for the internet that was stolen off a locked roof, and pay my rent and bills for the 2 months I was gone. All was stolen my keys to my building and my flat, my reading glasses and case, my camera, my mobile, my prayer beads, my small silver measuring tape, my lipstick, two Lancôme change purses, my brown sun glasses, my medication, my pens, perfume, and little odds and ends. Also my purse, my favorite one Delicious was the brand name, and cost about $50 from the States.
So here I am no money, no mobile, no passport, no visa for Egypt, no debit card, no keys to my building or flat, Mohamed did came and broke in the door and put a new lock in for me. The bad men have my building key and my flat key, so I must be very careful now. But now what do I do with no money no passport no visa and no debit card????? Anyone have any suggestions???? I called the Embassy and when she transferred me to the American services the line was cut they never even answered……..not the American Embassy they never help anyone ever, not even with information!
