I am desperate. I brought my Egyptian husband here on a fiancé visa and we were married within the three months. Since we have been married it has been an up and down roller coaster. He is physically and mentally abusive. He has been in jail twice and says that if i leave him, he will kill me and himself. I have three children from my first marriage. He has slashed his wrists, broken mirrors over his head, destroyed my home and my property. I went to a divorce lawyer and he is not sure what i can do. My husband is still on conditional status. I won't feel safe until i know that he is out of the country and not allowed back here. He is manipulative and conniving. He has driven away all my friends and family I don't know what to do anymore. I need help.

I will be in Cairo from the 8th of March through the 17th of March, 2013. How do I let the American Embassy know of my stay, or it is necessary to do so?
