I'm planning to visit UK on October how to get a UK visa? I'm a permanent resident here in canada. What should I do? How long it takes to get it? How to set an interview? How much is it?

How do I get an appointment time for UK visa as I was not able to have my appointment on the set date due to one missing document. I paid an extra fee for Prime time appointment and reprinted my application but it does not allow me to change the date for my appointment. Does Prime Time allow you an appointment time to resubmit my application for visa? Very difficult to contact the UK embassy and it does not make sense to pay an extra fee to contact service centre regarding an appointment time. I have already spent so much money on my visa. There should not be charge to call the service centre. Would appreciate your help in this matter.
My sister and I are traveling to England later this year and would like to bring our mother's cremains with us. Are there any rules/restrictions about this?
