NotesYOUR ONLINE FRIEND WAS NOT ARRESTED AT THE AIRPORT.
YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED.

Have you been having conversations online with someone you've never met before who claims to live in the UK? Has he told you that he will come to visit you in Malaysia? And now is he frantically contacting you because he are being held at the airport, and needs you to pay a fine so he can be freed?

It is a scam. There is no romance, and there is nobody being detained at KLIA. The same person who was chatting online with you was also chatting online with many other victims. They are trying to trick you into sending money to an accomplice. Once you have sent the money they will disappear forever. Every year these scammers bilk unsuspecting victims out of thousands of ringgit. Don't be one of them.

Is this man trying to get your money. This is what he told me
Paul Ashley contacted me online. This is what he told me. He has not posted this information Recently, When he piloted a group to Lumpur Malaysia, he says was attacked by hoodlums. From what He said he was injured very badly. And had two surgeries and is still in the hospital maylaya univ hosp. He says he can only sit on the side of his bed as he is still unable to move on his on. He says His partner in the airline business is refusing to release funds. he says because the hospital uses outside food vendors, Paul is not eating cause of a lack of funds. Do you know him personally at all, that you would know how to get in touch with anyone who knows how to get him money for food? I found his FB site the other day, but since he doesn't go there online to fb, he has not accepted my friend request and I cannot post an SOS for him there. His son is trying to get to him to bring him stateside. Apparently he is in real trouble. I have no way to help him. The attackers apparently have been caught but deny any beatings. Just that they stole a camera and an iPad. They fractured his leg and he had internal injuries that required surgery. Of course Malaysia has no compensation for crime victims. Will or can you post this or something similar on Paul's post if there are any other people who know particulars about this situation and can offer assistance?

My friend work as a custom at KLIA. Whe the incident happened to me, I learnt and knew a lot what I didn't know before. If you been asking to pay for the taxes, make sure that the account number for transferring money is belong to Royal Custom Malaysia not belong to personal account numbber. Be careful ok.

Eirol & nana
Nana, here's no parcel actually for you. The same thing already happened to me. Yes! They said the aame words to me. The lady who talked to me which confess she's from custom airport also said that I will. Be caught yo if the payment not be done. But then, when argue with her and ask her until she cannot answer my questions, she finally end conversation without answering my qurstions. And my colleague already asked his friends who was a Deputy Supritenden Police whether I would got in trouble or not because my name as a receiver for that item/ parcel. The police said that, whoever receiver, they will not be caught because the sender who send the item to recevier supposedly already know the rules what could and couldn't be send to the receiver. So don't worrt if said you will be involved and caught to. This not more than just want to make you afraid and for sure when you feel afraid for sure you will pay. This things already happened to me! Trust us nana.
To Eirol, thanks for your moral support. Really appreciate it dear fried. You know, many people willing to help me after they know what happened to me. I showed them th report that I did before. Now, my debted only left half from the amount before. Hope I will manage to settle all of my debted by January 2013. God bless us.

If you realize, all of this scam activities have the same modus operandi. Asking money from people like us. First they will ask as high money as can from us. Then if we cannot pay that amoun asked by them, they will reduce the amount and said we need to pay half and the other half amount will be paid by the company or what so ever. After we paid, then they will create another issues or stories to pay for the second, third or etc time. As I said before, I met several influenced people who were handle this case like this. I met a custom officer at KLIA and also immigration and DSP. They said that, this scam activities happened everyday and they love to make Malaysia as their place running this bad activities. The police who investigate my case said that, when they able to catch the criminal, most of them were African and Nigerian who were staying here. I don't understand why they must make this activities to get easy money from people like us. I realized that, if the person said that he come from UK, why they must ask money from us? As you know, Malaysian currency is too cheap/ lower compare with dollar/ pound currency. It's really not logic to ask help from us if they really from UK. The main point now, if they asking money from us, just said ask their friends or family or staff from their country to help by sending money to them here. But I'm sure they will give many excuses to avoid from asking money from people in their country. Police officer said that, everyday they receive repoet about this. How come this scammer willing to do this just because to get money with the easy waya. I really hope, no more friends here will be the next victim after us. Please think many times before pay anything and try to get advice from people that you know and trust. Anything happen, we as a receiver wull not be blame or be caught because we know nothing. That was said by DSP and ASP that my colleague ask on behalf of me. For your information, my colleague is one of ex-lawyer at Malaysian Bar Council in Kuala Lumpur. No n

Dear Friends
Just to remind you guys, whatever address they gave to you actually is incorrect. For your information, me myself went to the address given after my colleague had helped me to ensure whether the courier company exist there or not. Unfortunately, the address stated was not correct. The address that stated on the website belong to a bank since a few years ago. So, for me, whatever address or company that they gave to us actuall just a way to make us believe and trust them. But, actually they just copy and paste that address from internet because they confident that we will never ever go to find the address given. And one more, if the address correct, make sure they gave you the office number not cell phone number. Nowadays, its so easy to change and get prepaid number. As Malaysian, my responsibility is to help friends here from being a victim like me. If you want to know whether the number is landline number in Malaysia or cell phone number, the landlibe number in Kuala Lumpur will start with +603 whilst the cell phone number will start with +6011, +6012, +6013, +6014, +6016, +6017, or +6019. Hope this will help you all.
