Has he told you that he will come to visit you in Malaysia? And now is he frantically contacting you because he are being held at the airport, and needs you to pay a fine so he can be freed? It is a scam. There is no romance, and there is nobody being detained at KLIA. The same person who was chatting online with you was also chatting online with many other victims. They are trying to trick you into sending money to an accomplice. Once you have sent the money they will disappear forever. Every year these scammers bilk unsuspecting victims out of thousands of ringgit. Don't be one of them. |

I recently fall for some one online dating and his posing as David Townsend. He had a son Jeff which is 6 years old. He and Jeff supposed to fly to Malaysia to see me but was detained as his carrying excessive amount of money. I received a phone call from a Filipina lady who calls herself Hazel asking for $5000 AU to bail David out which Isent straight away as I felt sorry for his boy. THen another phone call asking for more money to release him come through again and suddenly I realised I was a victim of a scam. By the time I realised this it was too late.

Greetings to you, how are you doing today ? I am writing in connection to the instructions that I receive from your husband, Mr. Allen Rodney who has been detained by the Malaysian Custom Service for carrying a large amount of money while traveling from Malaysia to Belgium today. I am the lawyer who will represent him, I have already gone to the station where he is been detained to make inquiry about what happened and to see possible means of bailing him out.
I would like to inform you that the director in charge of your husband case demanded that he provide two documents namely, Anti-Terrorism Clearance Certificate and Anti-Drugs Clearance Certificate before they can release him.
