As all of us are aware, the UK Passport office is not coping with applications. They have had mine for 10 weeks, payment taken immediately on receipt, online progress stating 'in process of examination' on 26th May. 11 days later informed me that I had not sent my old passport so unable to proceed. In other words they have lost it. My residence visa was due for renewal 8thJune, as this is happening to many people who are having to send documents with complete strangers travelling back to UK to speed up process surely an official notice to Turkish government to apologise and explain that it is not our fault that we are left with no identification for so long would be in order. Turkish authorities have improved their systems over the years where we seem to be going backwards. Thank you.
my wife and myself are two british pensioners we have stayed in didim for 8 years now it looks as if they are about to throw us out because we cannot find any healthcare supplier who charges a reasonable cost can you help us mr british consulate
regards mr m mullin
Why is it so hard to renew our residency. We do what we are told then get told its not exceptable.all we want is clarification and not be left in the dark. Its all so worrying . Could someone please help us to get the correct info !!
If you are over 70 years and the new residentiaal application is for 1 year only who will do health insurance as so far none of the insurance companies will do it and it is now part of the forms needed to renew sdk wont because both me and husband are on uk pensions so when will this be sorted out as myhusband had toget a visa to return to turkey which only lasts until july if health cannot be done then like loads of other xpats we will have to sell up and return to uk why does the british consulate not come to an agreement to pay health for uk pension holder like most of the other eu countries us expats would not have these problem
Hi I am a UK citizen who had a Turkish partner, I unfortunately loaned him some money, initially to support a new real estate business, but further monies for a number of reasons, (to summarise - previous debt, medical costs, cost of living). I had thought that I was loaning him money until the business started to earn, as we hoped that the business would become sustainable and support us and our family (we both have children from previous relations), however, he has recently stated I gave him money and will not now repay. Is there any advice on how to make him repay? I have the receipts for most of the monetary transactions and some written communications (not full). Any advice appreciated.
Do you have an e-mail address I can post my full enquiry to ?
Thanks
The residents of Altinkum and surrounding areas have not received any mail since November, I myself have been to the main post office twice where I was taken into the sorting office where there was mail everywhere even on the floor, I was informed there are only 4 postmen and 3 sorters for too large an area for them to cover.
I have now been informed on the grapevine that two sacks of mail were given to two ladies from CHATTY CHICKS to sort who have now deposited the letters and cards at U2 bar in Efelah Mah district. God knows what has happened to our parcels.
I think the Consulate should now step in and sort out this situation once and for all.
Will there be any more changes to the SKG health insurance rules for British expats. We hope so, because if both my husband and myself have to pay the individual charge, as we cannot afford this, we will have to return to the UK.
Charges have increased from 15.50TL to 80TL for english residents now even though we have a yananci number. This is now putting off people going to the hospital and neglecting themselves. Turkish still pay 15.50TL. Today a friend of mine had a minor op costing a turkish person 400TL BUT for her it was 1800TL. Can something be done about this?
To whom it may concern:
I will be glad to know about the possibility and procedure of obtaining visit visa for a foreigner as I'm now living & studying in Izmir, Turkey but want to visit UK.
So I will wait with privileges for your kind feedback.
