My NEW RENEWAL PASSPORT has Arrived!
So British Nationals, as I wrote on the 22nd September(above), I HAD cracked the code as to where to send my old passport.....Evidence, this morning I received my NEW RENEWED PASSPORT! I forwarded it to Britain on the 27th September, and only 19 days later my Red Book is at home with me again in NRW. Those in search for this commodity please note the following.Go to
www.gov.uk/overseas-passports/y/germany/renewing
Download Application form, and also payment form. Complete,.... plus 2 new photos, signed on rear by yourself, don`t forget to have it co signed by either Doctor or suchlike. Then up to the post! Registered post only! They specify approximately 4 weeks before return, but mine was a Wonder! Yesterday I received my old passport returned with corners cut-off. This morning by courier the New one to replace the older one. They have backdated it because I did have an expiry date of 21st November, whereby I have lost absolutely NO time on the original. The cost for the passport excluding the photos is approximately 168 pounds, deviser changes daily, so make sure that your payment cover allows for this. Registered post around 5.50 Euro to send.
All in all I would reckon on 210 Euros to be on the safe side. But it has proven money well spent. I hope I have answered all your queries on how and where to claim your new passport. Don`t forget.....
Düsseldorf NO longer deals with passports. I`m afraid it is all dealt with in the UK by IPS in Liverpool. Again pleased I can help my fellow nationals. Any problems with this information that I have given, I stand to help under Lindaschlitt@ymail.com Happy Hunting friends!

Passport renewal from NRW Germany
I´m quite astonished how diffult it is to renew a passport in Germany now. I´m living more than 40 years in in this country, and I never had any problems by renewing my "red book". But this time the costs are shocking exessive and Düsseldorf doesn´t seem not to be responsible any more.
So who can tell me, where the whole documents have to be sent to?? I can´t find any address on the homepage of "gov.uk".

But this time it seems to be
Who can tell me were I must send my application form to.

British Subject. Passport renewal Required.
I understand that Düsseldorf British Consulate is closed, as I have tried to phone and e mailed for over 4 weeks.Nothing, seems to help me with my request. Plse. is there someone out there who can assist in informing me where, how and cost for renewing my passport. It is imperitive that all is up-to-date, as not only is it legal living abroad, I have a 85 yr. old mother living in a home...and therefore all my paperwork must be correct, if or when I am urgently needed to travel home due to something unforeseen happens. I hope there is someone that can radicate both my frustation and annoyance of having no help in where and what further to do to correct this, due to us English living abroad with no current help from our very own embassies. I am appalled to know what the Brit. Gov. payout yearly for this, money surely wasted, as assistance to help their own folks appears to be just an utter interference to them these days. I await someone with knowledge of what and how I can contact the appropriate authorities, enabling me to get all this sorted a.s.a.p. My thanks to British Nationals living here in Germany. Renewing Passport
Things have become very difficult for British Citizens in Germany to Renew their Passports, Not only that it costs a bomb on Fees, but the fact that it is also very difficult trying to find out where to post your application forms and old passport and where to send the fees to. I have searched the Internet for some hours now and there's various information which is all outdated. Can anyone tell me what the current payment fees cost in Euros and where to send them to ?
