I am trying to find out why my grand mother’s family were resident in Norway
There were 4 sisters born there as British citizens there surname CLOUSTON.
Isabelle 1884, Edith 1886, Elizabeth 1887 (Granma) Amie 1889.
What work was her father doing . James English Clouston.
Thank you Richard Maddison
Dear Sirs,
I have always wanted to find out what happened to my friend, the son of the British Consul in Bergen in 1939. We were in school together at Nygaard Skole, and we became friends in the fall of 1939. I am afraid his name has long since gone from my memory, but i remember wondering on April 9,1940, what happened tothe family. Canyou help me find out what happened to my friend andhis family? Thank you
Svend Larsen
I tried to find out if there were any groupings/unions of british people living in Bergen, Norway. If there is, could you please notice them of the two concerts of the choir Ole Bull Chamber Choir that takes plase in Mariakirken this friday and saturday at 19:30? The content is british carols and british choral music:

Many elderly British (women) who want to renew their passports on the net often ask their Norwegian relations to help them. For some reason some of them don't understand the form. Please inform the Consulate in Bergen that any Britain born on, or before 2 Sept.1929 do not have pay for their passport. It is free of charge. BUT they do have to pay for the passport to be delivered to their address in Norway by courier. I have informed the British clubs in Bergen about this. But one woman complained that I have misinformed her. When her son checked with the consulate they were told to pay the full fee, Even though the applicant was born before 2/10/1923.Unfortunately the elderly are still under the impression that the honorary consuls have the same knowledge as the British Embassy.
I am trying to contact the British Consulate's office & when I ring the number given, (004755 367810) a recorded message says 'the number you have rung doesn't exist any longer'!
Has this number been changed? Can anyone help me post a new number for the British Embassy in Bergen please.
Thank you.
